Traditional Games

I've vowed to update this blog more frequent but i have to apologise for not able to do so...i know i'll be giving excuses here so it'll be better if i keep those excuses to myself..no point giving tonnes of excuses and no action is taken in the end...

So i've been reading this book called "The Complete Reference: Java" lately...this book is so thick to me..if not for the sake of mastering java programming language, i will not chunk this book up...because of this, i need motivation and strong determination to complete this book..if not all, at least i'll try to complete part 1 of it...merely 1 part could reach 300 pages...too much for me..

While Independence Day is just around the corner, i would like to wish Malaysia a Happy 53rd Birthday!!..=)..in conjunction with the celebration, my college, APIIT/UCTI has put various traditional games on display at the foyer...once i saw those games on display, i felt like i had travelled back time to my primary school years...some traditional games that were put on display were gasing, batu seremban, ting ting, and congkak...i used to play these games during my childhood years and i dare say they are FUN!!..they may look simple but the games are purely enjoyable...if you've tried them, you will know how much fun they generate...

i asked some of my friends whether they have played any one of them...sadly they responded "no"...i feel so sorry for them though...they must have missed their fun childhood memories...what i can conclude from their statements are those from the chinese independent schools do not play this kind of traditional games...they focus more on studies and athletic sports...hmm...i'm not saying they are not good or whatever but they should have tried their hands on traditional games...i guess it's too late to convince them to play now since they will not find the fun factor in these games anymore...the time has passed..now i feel i'm glad that i was sent to a national school and got to learn about all these games...not much regret except for the chinese language...haha

Looking at those games brought back a lot of fond memories i had while i'm playing these games...those memories are just too sweet to be forgotten...i still remember how we used to tease and laugh at each other while competing against one another...so much FUN!!!.every bit of it is priceless and can't replace with money...after all, to me money can't buy happiness and sweet memories tend to remain intact with my memory while bitter ones fade away as time passed...after talking so much about these games, my hands are tingling now...i would like to get my hands on them as soon as possible..=)
